At time of impoundment the driver receives a copy of the impound notice. Often the driver and registered owner are the same person, but when they’re not the registered owner is also sent a copy of the impound notice.
We collect your vehicle and bring it back to storage, in our fully secure, indoor yard.
Your vehicle is left in the same state as which we receive it. The only time someone enters your vehicle is when we need to move it. Having keys helps immensely with this task.
Contact us within 5 days, with your email & phone number so we are able to provide updates when your vehicle is due for release.

Length of impoundment
Your vehicle will be impounded either for 28 days or for 6 months, depending on the impound notice requirements.
Collection Hours:
Vehicles are available for collection during our office hours, which are 8:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Give us a call or send an email to arrange a suitable time to collect.
Payment Requirements:
If impounded for 28 days, full payment must be made prior to release. If impounded for 6 months, the full amount of payment must be made by 38 days. The exact payment amount will be dependent on where the vehicle was collected from, and what time of the day it was collected.
Documentation Needed for Collection:
To collect your vehicle, you must bring Photo ID and a copy of the impound paperwork. The vehicle will only be released to the registered owner of the vehicle AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS IMPOUNDED. If the vehicle has been sold while impounded, the registered owner remains responsible for the impound costs, unless authorisation is given to a third party. To do that, complete the form here.
Disposal Arrangements:
If you no longer wish to reclaim your vehicle, please contact us to make disposal arrangements.
Extended Holding Period:
If the vehicle remains uncollected after the initial 28-day holding period, we are required to hold it for a further 10 days at standard daily storage rates. If the vehicle is still not collected, authorization for disposal will be obtained from the NZ Police.
Payment Options:
We offer convenient payment options to facilitate the release of your vehicle. We accept payment via EFTPOS, credit card, cash Afterpay and Pay By Link (we can send you a link to wherever you are and you can make payment online).
